- Leveraging 65+ years of expertise, it integrates microgrid and virtual power plant (VPP) technologies to optimize energy distribution, enhance grid stability, and enable dynamic power allocation, peak shaving, and load balancing—driving EV adoption and advancing sustainable urban energy management.
Application Scenarios
Offshore Island Renewable Energy-DongJi Islet, Penghu
As part of the "Zero Carbon Demonstration Island" initiative, Penghu County integrated a microgrid system on DongJi Islet to maximize renewable energy use, reduce diesel reliance, and enhance grid stability for remote communities.
Utilizing three-phase parallel synchronization and energy dispatch, the project mitigates power imbalances and improves efficiency. Recognized for its innovation, it received the 2017 APEC Silver Award for Sustainable Energy Solutions.
Impact & Performance:- Renewable energy share peaked at 92.8%
- Supplies 300+ kWh of solar power daily Cuts diesel consumption by 33,000 liters annually
- Reduces CO₂ emissions by 57 metric tons per year

Optimized Contract Capacity
Applied contract capacity is only 25% of installed capacity, reducing demand charges and operating costs.
Peak Demand Suppression
Energy storage system (ESS) stabilizes peak load, preventing demand surges and penalty fees.
TOU Tariff Optimization
ESS charges off-peak, discharges during peak hours, maximizing cost savings from time-of-use (TOU) pricing.
Backup Power Assurance
Hydrogen generators and EMS activate during outages, ensuring uninterrupted charging services.
