CHEM iCharging Partners with BMW & MINI via OCPI Integration
In Q2 2022, CHEM iCharging launched its iCharging eMobility HUB, enabling seamless cooperation between all Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and E-Mobility Service Providers (eMSPs) via the Open Charge Point Interface (OCPI). This initiative aims to accelerate the adoption of EV charging networks across Taiwan. Under this framework, Pan German Motors, iCharging, and iParking have commenced official operations.
BMW owners can now use the Pan German Motors app to access charging services not only at Pan German’s proprietary stations but also at all iCharging-operated sites. This cross-industry partnership embodies the vision of a shared charging platform, offering EV drivers a more convenient and efficient charging experience. By eliminating the need for multiple apps and reducing the time spent locating charging stations, this collaboration significantly enhances user convenience.
With over 420,000 members, FINDATA Fintech leads the market by offering comprehensive automotive financial services, including parking, auto loans, and insurance. Last year, CHEM iCharging partnered with FINDATA Fintech's iParking to elevate E-Mobility services for EV owners. This forward-thinking alliance introduced an innovative parking and charging experience, allowing EV drivers to seamlessly enter parking facilities, charge their vehicles, and exit without any manual intervention—delivering a premium, hassle-free charging journey.
By the end of September, CHEM iCharging’s cross-industry fast-charging network will encompass 30 stations across Taiwan, including key locations along national highways. Upcoming sites include the Dodo Home Fubon Liaoning Station and Chiayi Buffalo Station. Additional sites such as Dodo Home Zhonglun Third Station, Yonggu Gangqian Station, and the Hsinchu Science Park Tech Life Center are also slated for completion in the near future.
In Q4, iCharging will shift its focus to expanding fast-charging stations at Dodo Home parking facilities in central and southern Taiwan. Furthermore, multiple automakers’ charging service apps and CPOs will be integrated into the iCharging eMobility HUB, further broadening the DC fast-charging network.
In addition to these efforts, CHEM iCharging has joined the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI)’s Taiwan Electric Vehicle Energy Supplement Technology Industry Promotion Alliance, aiming to collaborate with more partners to create a comprehensive, borderless charging network.
